Olden times, depression was not common to hear. Possibly, people had it but were not aware of the term for it. Since, the internet is accessible to almost all parts of the world now, spreading awareness about depression has become easier. We can notice that campaigns are hosting mental health awareness programs. Depression is a disorder but people are now using the same term for representing sadness. Be it an excess of sadness or depression, there are things that can be helpful to both the things.
During depression, an individual will not have any interest in doing anything. Some people lose their hope in living a normal life. They do not like social interactions.Some of them may stop caring about the ones they love. Extrovert / ambivert /introvert all of them can feel depression. An individual may show the habit of procrastinating work. The remedy is to reverse these things.
Memories are sometimes hard to deal with. We keep having same old memories passing through our mind often. Remembering good times will keep the mind healthy. But, constantly bad memories pop ups in mind will make things difficult for the person. It affects routine life. It does not let the person to move on to the next phase of life.
Yes, in our life, we meet people that hurt us unexpectedly. We get hurt by our family and friends behavior. We meet strangers who may bring up a fight in the middle of public. We dwell in the thoughts of why someone left us with no reason. We come across the rumors about our character. We face its consequences. We see our people leaving us by believing rumors. When someone leaves us with misunderstandings and do not even bother to discuss the matter, we feel broken. These betrayals and heart-wrenching thoughts run through our minds consistently. We seek for the answers wondering why these things are happening to us.
Often after the small or huge argument, relations end but it’s not always the same. It does not end completely in some cases. There is usually one person waiting at the other side for starting to talk again. There are times, when both sides wait until someone makes a move. When both expect the other person to take a step, ultimately they move on with the life without trying out.
Build the relationship strong enough that no third person shall be able to break it up. The good practice is to discuss matters. Do not walk away without giving a reason. Do not leave someone by hearing rumors from others. Do not assume anyone’s behavior. Try to understand things from different perceptions. Whenever necessary, apologize. It is always better to end the chapters completely. Incomplete chapters of life has the chances of troubling your mind.
We often see there are couples who move on easily. Break up then hook up with someone else immediately and it goes on. Everyone has their own emotion status management.Running away from emotions does not solve issues. It is advisable , sometimes give time to yourself for understanding what do you exactly want or what are you looking for?
Most of the depressed people have mood swings. They can feel like crying anytime. They can easily get angry. They have the tendency to feel sad without any reason. Whilst some go through the life events that change them into a depressed person.
We shall not ignore depression. We have to put our 100% effort in changing ourselves. The counselors/therapists will try their best to heal us. Taking initiative at the earliest to fight against depression shows the quick results.
We need to analyze the reason for our emotions. We need to look out for the things that can fix it up.The first step to heal from any mental health illness is self-realization. It’s a wake-up call to begin the process of leaving the depression phase. In the beginning steps, you realize what things you had been missing out in your life. The best thing to do is stop the clock of past events. Whatever happened in the past, keep it as past chapters of life. Do not carry it in the present or the future. The second step is to overcome depression or any sadness is to keep yourself active. Involve yourself in any work or hobbies. Find time to meet your loved ones. Join some social groups or events. Eat healthy food on regular intervals. Drink healthy beverages. We suggest these things to everyone, because these are helpful in building the healthy thoughts in mind.
Easy to say, difficult to do. When the past things are themselves the reasons affecting the present and the future, don’t think about it as the end of good things. Always have in mind, the world is big. We have millions of opportunities to change our life in whichever way possible. Sometimes fate cannot be with us. But, we need to keep going on for what we want.

Nothing new in talking about addiction to drinks. We keep talking, reading, and listening to how to overcome the addiction. How do people get addicted to this habit? Do they have a choice to discontinue? What is the Cycle Of Alcoholism?
Any type of Addiction is a habit developed by anyone and anytime. A person having no problems in life can also be seen habituated towards alcoholism. Drinking is part of the celebration and also depression.
We watch love stories movies that show a character gets addicted to alcohol because of heartbreak. One need not have any tragic life stories reason to develop this habit. The common reason can be the way an individual was brought up by the family and friends. The way a person easily gets influenced by the circle of friends/colleagues who drink. People who get influenced by watching movies/series wherein the character/actor drinks to show the high-class attitude or drinks during the crisis period.
If a regular drinker gets affected by depression, then the person eventually starts depending on alcohol. It is common for regular drinkers to use alcohol, in order to, take out the frustration and anger. We hang around with friends and share our stories. We take drinks to overcome our sadness. Yes, drink can cheer you up for the moment. Some of you may go through the drink effects after hours. Once the hangover vanishes, things can come back to routine. Drinking occasionally without being mentally affected or emotionally affected reasons is all right. When you drink every day for a week then stop it, thereby, your self-realization does not make it as a norm. It means you know how to manage things. But, you have to be careful enough to not have an excess during the rough times of life. For this reason, it is advisable to drink once, drink twice but don’t drink third time. Because this will hit your emotions. There is a possibility that you will burst your emotions into tears. You will feel helpless. Sometimes it can strike your anger. You will have no control over your anger. In the absence of anger control, you may harm your loved ones or strangers. You will end up throwing up stuff around you, here and there. Breaking pieces of stuff or hitting others will not solve your issues. It causes you to pay the bills to repair your non-living things. This unmanageable behavior/reaction will take you away from your loved ones which cannot be fixed with money. You may not know what words you use against your loved ones. You will not realize how much you may beat/hurt your family or friends. Sometimes, your unethical behavior can affect strangers too and it may land you up in jail. In the absence of mind, you create damages leading to an imbalanced life.
In order to balance our life, we need to avoid drinking more than twice in a week. Once a person gets addicted, he/she will spend all the money on purchasing drinks. When their mind is completely addicted to it, they will lose the focus on work. There are cases, wherein people have lost their jobs because of this practice. Whether they lose the job or not, they develop a tendency to borrow money from others. All that money is spent into getting drinks for their satisfaction. Even the strongest person will become weak. There is a fear of not falling short of supply of drinks. There is a big smile: once the filled bottle is in hand, and there is the saddest face: once all the bottles are over. The addiction does not stop on drinks. Slowly one develops smoking and taking drugs. Altogether, once a normal person, later can also get shattered. The mind will not have a good quality of thinking ability. Such people do not like anyone restricting their habit. They will start hating the ones who do not support their addiction. Since they do not have a healthy mind, they will not realize the care provided by others. They will have zero realization about the effects of their behavior on others.
Hey drinker: Maybe once you were a good person. But, you may not be perceived in the same way. Because this habit changes the person into a liar. You will keep finding reasons to drink. You will start lying to your beloved ones to borrow the money. You will not enjoy with non-alcoholic friends. In a prolonged time, it will affect health. In case, you have a good habit of balancing your health with other diets, your chances of suffering from health issues can be lower than others. But, effects on mind will remain the same. Meditating every day and drinking every day will not go hand in hand. Meditation is helpful in relaxing hormones and stable the mind with positive thoughts. But, if you consistently drink every day then you cannot expect any benefits from meditation.
The human body is like a plant. If you water the plants and keep it in the relative weather, it will grow in a nice formation. If you add harmful chemicals to the plants along with the water daily, it will die sooner. In a similar manner, we can add a good diet to our diet but adding alcohol to it will harm our mind first and then physical health. We cannot save plants. But, we can save ourselves as early as possible. We can detoxify our body and rejuvenate with a good lifestyle by saying goodbye to alcoholism. At most, we can learn to restrict the number of glasses per week.
Saying is easier than doing it. It is not at all possible to drop the addiction in one go for everyone. Few folks can drop this habit by taking breaks on and off. This is why, we have addiction-free centers. The addiction free helplines provide different methods to get rid of harmful habits. When your family and friends are asking you to take the treatment, then please go for it. Do not sit there and argue with them. They care for you. They want to see you in a better form.
Health and Weather also play roles. We can drink it in winter to warm our body. Drinking in high-temperature summer locations will not be good for everyone. The health issues along with the weather will not be capable of absorbing the effects of alcoholism. Hence, we can take the precaution by checking the weather conditions and our health stability.
People who think drinking, smoking and taking drugs will solve the problems are clear- cut fools. It releases the hormones which will make you feel good for a few minutes or hour. If you consider it as a solution to relax you every day, it will show adverse effects. Remember, anything in excess is never good.
Make the right choice! In the 21st century, depression is not a rare thing. Not every patient is choosing alcohol to overcome their depression. They are changing their lifestyle and following counseling therapy. Do not make wrong choices that will miss out the best things of your life.
Next time you buy bottles, buy paint bottles. You may not know how to paint so just splash the colors on the white paper. You may start developing painting skills. You may start expressing your emotions through painting. Painting is an art that will give you advantages which is better than the loss given by alcohol. Involve yourself in the hobbies or activities to calm down your anger. Keep yourself busy and healthy to stay away from addiction.

I will not sit with you and give you a lecture. I am sure you may not hear half of my words. You will avoid my discussion about smoking. I am not complaining to you to stop smoking. I will never ask you to do that. It is your life, your rules.Do whatever you want! Live the way you love to be. People say smoking is injurious to health. I don’t believe it. Because smoking is just one thing. There are lots of other reasons to count on which affects health. It is believed that smokers die early. I don’t believe that either. As I have seen non-smokers die early too. We often watch some smoking scenes in movies/series, wherein the character who smokes has actually got some strong attitude. We also see small blur statement in the corners, “Cigarette smoking is injurious to health”. Who cares about that statement right? Look at the attitude in the scene; we are already inspired by the scene that smoking gives the appearance of some kick-ass attitude. We even notice some writers saying what keeps them awake is coffee and a pack of cigarettes which refreshes their mind to come up with stories to be written on.
I met a girl today. She is 15 and already smoking a pack per day. She told me that she is looking forward to having a singing career. Anyone of us could predict she may not achieve her dream. Because smoking affects voice quality. It gives you a nasty voice. Someone told her that few singers do smoke. But that someone agreed to our discussion that people use machines to give good quality for the recorded voice. You know you can be popular with machine quality voice, but recording a natural voice song is much blessing. They say it is difficult to give birth to a child when a couple or one of them smokes a lot. I don’t believe it completely. Although most couples go through the same situation, I have seen some people have well-born children.
Honey, you are in your late teens and underdeveloped society or some friends around you may call you as a bad girl. Every time you smoke, all of them might give you a hatred look. You may have friends to hang out and all of you are probably enjoying having weeds together. It’s all fun until you cross the limit. I am not stopping you from smoking my sweetheart. There is something more to smoking and drinking.
Death is not the scariest thing. The worst thing is to lose your mind and self -respect. Smoking leads to losing a good memory and patience at the earliest for many people. It plays with your emotions. It is possible for some smart people to lose their common sense too. They may talk a lot about the things that do not make sense. They lose interest in jobs or life and are always under stress. They can not find happiness apart from drinks & puff. You may think that you love your boyfriend a lot today and you will not love a pack of cigars more than him. I can bet you, dear, that yes, smoking is an addiction. Once you get trapped in addiction, no love is greater than smoking for the majority of smokers. You will start looking for money every time to buy more packs and drinks. Travelling is the most fun for lots of people out there. But for smokers, they will be happy; if you just give them a pack. But they will not be happy if kept away from smoking. The mind gets used to it. It never gives you peace of mind. And one fine day you are lost, totally lost and no one can help you out. I wrote this earlier, ‘It plays with your emotions.’. It will affect your temper badly. You do see warning everywhere and some pictures of how physically it affects the body. When your friends grow up and you all get separated ,you may not find the same kind of people again. If you ever get affected physically then do not feel shy to go in public or suffer the physical pain because despite warnings you have chosen to live like this. When you cross the limit of smoking ,stress and anger will be your only 2 best friends forever. Smokers and non smokers can have same type of diseases. But,prolong smoking can change the person’s mental peace in the long term. I don’t want to put you in a cage and impose my principles to you.You are set free to choose a better life or astray. Rest I will be always there for you but I can not assure of your mind status.Society might call me as a bad parent for not restricting you from smoking. The choice is all yours 🙂 to live a better life or not .

What if one day I get up and find out there is nothing to do at all?
It won’t be a day wherein I could feel happy to say, “Yeah! Nothing to do. I am free today.”
It’s a day with bleak weather- I happen to realize there is nothing else remaining for me to do. Everything has ended. I have lost so many things. I have tried countless things. I could look back to my past clearly. The path from the past to the present has made me conclude that my life is all messy. The impenetrable darkness has gone inside my soul and there is no space left for any positive signs. I have turned into a cold-hearted person. I have no feelings for anyone. I reached that level of life, wherein I can’t let anyone else be a part of my world. I feel the world has drained from me. The evil thoughts have arisen in my mind. I can only regret the mistakes, not done by me, but done by others which led me to suffer. I could have blamed everyone around me, by now I chose not to blame anyone. Because for now, I am in a state of blaming myself for always compromising my own life. For the number of times, all my dreams shattered with no hopes further. Abided by all the surrounding rules, I could not achieve anything. Being crumpled with a stroke of bad luck, I could not get any answers for, “Why me ???”.
I often restored my hopes to start a new beginning, but my every journey landed up to “The End” board with no success. Having failed for hundreds of times, I did not feel bad for rejections and failures anymore. I don’t know what is the feeling of happiness for being successful in life. Maybe, if ever I reach a successful point, I would shed more tears by recalling the failure times. I would be more nervous and hold fear to cherish the success moment. Doubtless, I am tired and downtrodden. I could imagine brighter days on the way. Alas! With not much of a span, I find myself being involved with innumerable issues. Whenever someone asked me, “What’s wrong?”; I could fake smile and tell them nothing. At most, I could share one of the smallest ordinary issues. The truth holds as nothing was/is right. I could only wish some magic to fix everything at once for all. My life did not go the way I planned in multiple ways, but at this stage I am fine. At a certain point in time, we accept that some things cannot be changed and often are out of one’s control. People who know my journey tide with hurdles; know somewhere it is okay if I stop going ahead. It is true: negativity must not become part of life, but sometimes on a practical basis: negativity wins over positivity. We have to balance the positive and negative vibes equally.
I wish I would wake up one day and realize my whole life had been a dream and I am actually a different person living a different life. Perhaps, a much better life wherein I could be me, myself !!!
I wrote this blog post to express what I felt at that moment. I was not in a depression. My feelings were based on real situations. Through this article, many people could relate to it. This post is to show how a depressed person feels. It depicts how crushed a person feels when everything goes against her/his life. We see people who lack empathy. People who do not take other’s emotions easily. People who are unable to understand someone’s emotion. We do come across the ones who will not realize what willpower it takes for going through the hurdles. I genuinely feel we should not break anyone to the extent that they lose the meaning to their life. When we see someone’s life is falling apart, we shall try to lend a hand to uplift them in order to kick start life again.

Free site means you simply create your account on either WordPress or BlogSpot and start publishing your posts. The benefit of having own domain(custom domain) and self-hosting is your site will be eligible for monetization. With the free site, you will not be able to earn. The domain name of the paid site will be of your choice. For Example, You would like to name your domain as HumptyDumpty. The free site address will look like this : HumptyDumpty. wordpress.com. Whereas the paid site domain will be this : HumptyDumpty.com.
3]How to choose themes for your site?
When you are creating a blog, in the starting steps itself the option will be shown for themes. From the same theme list, you have to choose the one you like. Some themes are paid ones, so it’s up to you to buy it or not. And remember you can always change the theme by going to the “edit” /”customize” option in your blog site.
4] Earning through Ads
You need to have AdSense account to start earning through ads posted on your site. AdSense is provided by Google. WordAds is provided by WordPress. Bloggers on WordPress can purchase a Premium plan to have WordAds and Business plan to have AdSense. Both of them require consistently growing traffic on your site. When any visitor on your site clicks on those Ads, you earn money for that click. But, you should not click on the Ads on your own site and probably from your IP Address too.
5]Want to have different sites or categories such as poems and stories to be placed differently?
WordPress allows you to have different blog sites from the same account. Follow the below steps: [a] Login to your WordPress account [b]Once you logged in, on the right-hand upper corner of the page you will see 2 options “My Sites” and “Reader” [c] Click on “My Sites” [d] Once you click on My Sites, you will see the list of your sites at the right side of the page. But, the most important thing is to try to improve your writing skills and come out with creativity.

Give the name to your site which will act as domain name also known as the site address. Site address is the link of your site which you can share with the people and anyone can visit it. People who have already purchased domain from other companies can directly add their domain name.
If you don’t have domain name, then add the name in Enter a name or keyword. After entering you will see the number of domain options available. You can choose whichever you like out of it. 1 or 2 domain names will be free and rest of them are paid ones. You can either purchase the domain or just choose the free ones.
Pick a plan that is appropriate for your requirements.
You need not to pay anything for a free plan. As mentioned earlier, the free plan domain address will be “yoursitename.wordpress.com” whereas the purchased plan address will be “yoursitename.com” or any other registered domain. With Premium Plan , your site will be eligible for monetization. You can choose WordAds Program for earning through ads displayed on your site by WordPress.

At some point of our life, we feel life is unfair to us. We often come across the circumstances wherein we ask ,”Why me?“. We feel, why these are not happening with others. We compare ourselves with others which leads to the conclusion, life is unfair to us. Yes, we cannot deny that each one of us are living different journey. For some reason, some people really go through unfair paths. On the other hand, it is possible to avoid some of the unfair times.
There are two main factors affecting our life status: Internal decisions and External environment.
Half of the problems are created by our own choices. Suppose we plan to do something and it does not work out well. We don’t look for other options. When it comes with job choice, the world is so wide and population is around 7.71 billion (by Feb 2019). When there is more population, there is more demand. We can always plan new work. We can add new skills to our portfolio and apply for new jobs. We have strong competition in every stream. But, there is always a way to shine up with uniqueness.
We don’t take enough self-care. When we don’t take care of physical health, how can we expect to live a healthy life? If we don’t manage our mental health, how will we have healthy thoughts? One thing leads to another. We invite diseases and disorders. Later on, we say , “Life is unfair to me, I live with pains.” We miss living a normal life. There is an indirect possibility to affect our studies, job or relationships status. We can avoid all these complications, by following up a healthy routine for ourselves.
We go through a financial crisis. Sometimes we won’t have enough of amount to pay our medical emergency bills. We live in debts. We need to look out for the number of opportunities , that can help us save the money. We should spend wisely. We can buy the things we need and sell the things we don’t need anymore. We should keep track of properties value and stock exchange prices. Selling things on right time can give us better economy support. We could invest in better plans with thorough research. Investing anywhere without detailed knowledge can incur in losses. We should teach our family about financial terms and benefits, which will make them responsible.
Take initiative as and when required. If you try to take initiative in everything, others will not realize their roles. Indulge more in living practically that will help in solving issues easily. Sometimes, the problems are not big. Our perceptions and emotions change it into a complicated matter.
Maybe the government rules are restricting us from applying to our chosen job opportunities. Maybe some corrupted people are looting us through investment plans. Maybe our family member’s behavior is affecting our health. Maybe due to the job hours, we are unable to give time for ourselves. Maybe we are not mentally fit, because we had been stronger for a long time.
The external environment will go against us throwing up unexpected events in our life. That’s the reason we hear the quote, “Life is full of surprises.” Sometimes the surprises can shook us. Everything affects everything. When we are affected by external factors, our reactions will affect our next steps. But, we can try our best to manage the things as much as possible by ourselves.
When we are cooking a spicy dish. Sometimes the dish becomes too much spicy (chilli taste). We don’t feel like eating it. To balance the mixture, we can add a bit of salt and bit of sugar. In the similar manner, instead of weeping over the real reasons of unfair life, we have to start adding things to make it fair.

There are days when we feel annoyed with someone or something and there are lots of shuffled reasons leading to anger in our mind. We need to control our anger but it is difficult to do it.
The simplest thing to do is breathe in – breathe out. Sometimes we have to control anger to avoid creating a huge issue. Sometime we need to delay the reaction for the right time. It’s true anger is an important part of emotions and must be expressed. Consistently holding your anger for a longer time inside mind can lead to emotional imbalance.
The habit of having control over anger can help us to calm down and take the right decisions. We can find many institutes and health-care management providing anger control therapy. While yoga can help us to have a balance over emotions, there are other simple ways to change the mood. Whenever we are in the angry mood, we can try any of these 11 things :
1]Involve yourself in house chores.
Doing any single work can divert your mind.
When we are trying to perform any house related work, we can keep our mind focused in cleaning things or keeping things neat. While performing these type of tasks, brain slows the anger amount. Everyone may not like doing house chores. Everyone may not be fit enough to carry out these type of work. But, all those people who are capable of doing it can adapt this technique to simmer down.
2]Pick up one of your hobbies and do it for a while, this can make you happy as well.
Painting, crafting, playing instruments, and designing work diverts the thoughts to the creative form. You will feel better by expressing anger through the paint or music. Reading book or writing books takes the mind to the imagination world. This in turn, helps the senses to shift away from anger.
3]At the office, do any other work or learn something.
We may not have all the privileges of controlling our anger at office. So, the best thing is to learn something new. It can even be the smallest things. Keeping mind busy in learning something new diverts mind from anger. You can continue to do the same given work or change the task for a while. It is one of the ways, to let the anger slip on downhill.
4]Play some outdoor sports.
This can bring enthusiasm. Playing outdoor games with other players levels up the energy. You can put the anger into the game to win it. For some people anger can work as negative effect to focus on game whilst for others anger itself can help to focus hard on the game. Whether you win or not, spending time playing sports assists in healthier mental health.
5]Play indoor or online game.
Playing indoor games with friends, families or at other gaming centers helps the person to enjoy those little moments. Online games can also help the person rather than rushing the negative thoughts in mind. It is as good as engaging yourself in some activity to relieve your mind.
6]Speak with some family member or friends.
Talking about the issue that made you angry on the first place, can help to relax the mind. Discussions related to different things in the conversation adds to mellow down.
7]Cook your favorite food.
Cooking is one of the skills needs to be acquired to live independently. Some people love eating food , the colloquial term as foodie. You can buy your favorite food from outside but cooking it by yourself gives satisfaction to mind. When your mind and tummy is satisfied, anger will either have less space or no space to stay.
8]Listen to the music.
Listening to your favorite music takes you to the imagination world. You fly to the other side of your expected world. This aids in soothing your heart and hence, your mind.
9]Dance on your favorite music.
Dancing changes the mood to happiness. You don’t have to be a trained dancer. You can just do any jolly steps by yourself. You can watch song videos or dance videos and perform it simultaneously. It will act as an exercise and keep you happy. When the happy emotion takes over the room, anger vanishes.
10] Watch shows/videos/ series
You can watch any entertainment or your favorite genre shows/videos/series. This helps in your mind in watching and reacting to those shows. Your anger will eventually slide to low scale.
11] Go For Walk
Last but not the least, Go For Walk. Walking not only keeps you healthy physically, it also boosts your mental strength. You can either go for jogging or have simple walk. Your mind will get diverted to outside atmosphere. You will feel refreshed.
